MALUMA WINS THE MTV EMA FOR ‘BEST LATIN’
HE PERFORMED HIS NEW SINGLE «MAMA TETEMA» ALONGSIDE RAYVANNY LIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
Global Latin music idol MALUMA won the ‘Best Latin’ award last night and lit up the MTV European Music Awards stage alongside Tanzanian superstar Rayvanny with the first-ever live performance of their new single «MAMA TETEMA».
«Oh my God…to be honest I don’t have a speech, but saying thank you EMA’s. I feel so proud to be Latin and it’s been a tough trip to get here. I just want to say thank you to my team, Miguel, Clara, Walter Kolm, to my mom who is watching me right now…and this award goes to Medellin, Colombia because Colombia is not Pablo Escobar anymore…Colombia is Maluma baby, JBalvin and all the biggest artists in Latin America,» Maluma expressed.
Maluma and Rayvanny sang across two interconnected stages, joined by a cast of female dancers, special rain effects and warm, neon-colored lights. Both artists danced energetically to the track that blends two genres and two different cultures, proving once again that music is universal and no matter the language, the audience connected with the beat of «Mama Tetema».
