Panamanian singer-songwriter, Akim, teams up with Puerto Rican performer Lyanno for the release of his newest song “Facetime” through the legendary independent record label Carbon Fiber Music. The song, along with its official video, comes after the release of the Panamanian rapper’s R&B-inspired “Tusi,” gitty “Merfi” alongside Chamaco, Konshens, and Mavado, and “Dime” with “Carbon Fiber Gang” member Milly. The song and video are available to stream on all digital platforms today.

Similar to his songs “Tusi” and “Bella Bella,” Akim produces another track that serves as an ode to women and their captivatingly provocative beauty. “Facetime” expresses the sense of wonder that comes over a man when he is sharing a private moment with his love over Facetime. Present in the song is the lyrical dexterity and smooth vocal tonality that Akim has become known for. Paired with Lyanno’s unique flow and cadence, “Facetime” is taken to another level of allure as it is layered over iconic Urbano and Reggaeton rhythms and beats. “Facetime” was produced by Rike Music and Jhon El Diver.

“I was in the studio with Rike Music, working on a song and looking for that special sound to give to the ladies, that daring touch that they like and the chorus came out ‘pon el FaceTime para verte, deja la luz prendida… tus bellaqueras son mías’ (put the FaceTime on to see you, leave the light on… your desires are mine). We finished the entire song and then Rike said to me ‘I see a Lyanno in there’ and the next day I heard the song with Lyanno’s voice and it was a hit! The day of the video shoot there were a lot of good vibes from the whole team, the models, us, and we killed it!”, shared Akim.

The video was directed by Cristian Aguilar J and filmed in Miami, Florida. Much like the song, the video perfectly recreates the feeling of intimacy two people share within a relationship that Akim is establishing with his song. Taking its cues from the song title, Akim, Lyanno and the models can be seen spotlighted in the same way one would if they were on Facetime.

Akim has been conquering Latin music fans from across the globe for more than a decade before joining the ranks of the critically acclaimed Carbon Fiber Music record label in 2019.
